Privacy Policy

The short version: PocketCall processes detection information on your device. We do not operate an app server and do not upload your call log, contacts, sensor readings, recovery messages, local history, or custom recordings.

About PocketCall

PocketCall is designed to detect possible accidental outgoing calls and provide recovery actions. In this policy, “PocketCall,” “we,” and “us” refer to the PocketCall app and its developer, Altross.

Information used on your device

PocketCall may access phone call state, the destination of a new outgoing call when you enable Android’s call-redirection role, contacts, motion, proximity and ambient-light sensor signals, notification access, and a recording you deliberately create as a custom recovery sound. This information is used to detect possible accidental calls, identify the relevant recipient, select a recovery message, show recovery alerts, and provide local call history.

PocketCall does not redirect, block or replace your calls. The outgoing destination is kept only for the active call and its Recovery workflow. This processing occurs on your device and is not uploaded to the developer.

Google Play purchases

If you buy PocketCall Pro, Google Play processes the purchase and provides PocketCall with purchase status and product information. Google’s handling of purchase information is governed by Google’s privacy policy.

Storage and deletion

Settings, recovery messages, contact classifications, recovery history, and custom recordings are stored locally on your device. You can delete this information by clearing PocketCall’s app data in Android settings or by uninstalling PocketCall.

Permissions and system roles

• Phone state: monitors whether a call is active and its duration.
• Outgoing-call recognition: when you enable Android’s call-redirection role, PocketCall receives the destination as a call begins and immediately allows the call to continue unchanged.
• Contacts: identifies saved contacts and applies the selected Personal, Business, or General recovery message.
• Notifications: keeps Protection visible and displays recovery alerts.
• Microphone: used only when you choose to record a custom recovery sound.
• Sensors: used locally to assess whether the phone may be concealed or retrieved.

If outgoing-call recognition is unavailable or not enabled, you select the recipient when preparing a recovery SMS. PocketCall opens your selected messaging app with a proposed recipient and message. You review and send the message from that app. PocketCall does not send it automatically.

Children’s privacy

PocketCall is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because PocketCall does not operate an app server, information used by the app remains on the device as described above.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as PocketCall changes. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
